Energy Cities
Energy Cities is a network of cities committed to reaching climate neutrality by 2050.
We are a learning community built around a “local & sustainable first” approach. Our members represent over 1000 local governments in 30 countries. The network gathers frontrunners and energy transition beginners, city officials and technical experts.
We showcase concrete solutions deployed by cities, we advocate to change politic and economic governance at all levels and we foster a wide cultural change leading to a futureproofed society.

Simon Dujardin
After graduating in Data Science, Simon spent three years in sustainability consulting, helping companies achieve their environmental goals. He mainly worked with organizations in the energy and sustainable mobility sectors, guiding them toward more sustainable practices. Simon joined Energy Cities in December 2024 where he manages projects related to fossil-free cities and energy communities. Bringing expertise gained in the private sector, he implements knowledge exchange and replication programs to help cities reach their sustainability goals.”

Elina Sergejeva
Elina is a project manager at Energy Cities. Elina holds a MSc in Urban Planning and a bachelor’s degree in Regional Development and Urban Economics. Throughout her career Elina has managed to experience 3 different levels of governance in Latvia. She implemented an energy efficiency of buildings project while working for the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia. She explored urban resilience and co-creation topics while working for a regional authority, Riga Planning region, and she worked on smart cities and communities projects as an energy efficiency expert on a city level at Riga Energy Agency.
