City of Ioannina

Ioannina is the capital and the largest city of Epirus, a north-western region of Greece. Is a university city with strong environmental elements and rich historical heritage. The city is the trade center of the entire Epirus Region and well-known touristic destination, with many historical monuments, a cave and a remarkable natural landscape. Lake Pamvotida is an aquatic ecosystem and has been characterized as an eco-development system and the inhabited islet is a unique way of urban living.

Christina Kalogirou

Christina studied Civil Engineering and Architecture and holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Development from NTUA, an M.Ed. in Adult Education, and an M.A. in Lighting Design from HOU. Since 2015, she has worked as a Project Manager for EU-funded Cooperation and Innovation projects, supporting local authorities and universities. Her background includes research on building energy efficiency, and she currently serves as the Implementation and Scientific Coordinator of the Climaborough project within the Municipality of Ioannina, where she was also responsible for monitoring and updating the City’s Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) from 2020 to 2023.

Anna Athanasiou

Anna Athanasiou

Anna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Agricultural Science from the Department of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master of Science degree in Waste Management from the Hellenic Open University. She is currently studying Public Administration at the Hellenic Open University. She has been working as a civil servant in the Municipality of Ioannina since 2000 and for the last 7 years she has been the Head of the Department of Environment and Energy of the Municipality of Ioannina.

Theodora Moulia

Theodora Moulia

Theodora holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. From 1992 to 2000 she has worked as a freelancer in the field of public works. From 2000 to 2011 she has worked at the Technical Service of the Municipality of Perama. Since 2011 she has been working at the Department of Environment and Energy of the Municipality of Ioannina.

Alexia Gidari

Alexia Gidari

Alexia graduated of the department of Business Administration – Hellenic Open University and has worked as Financial Management Officer and Operation Officer. She has an experience of over 20 years in European and National funded projects, especially on financial issues. She is Advisor to the Mayor of Ioannina city in the utilization of financial tools and networking.
