The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a mission-driven Research and Technology Organization (RTO) that develops competitive and market-oriented product/service prototypes for public and private stakeholders.

With its 676 employees, 77% of whom are researchers or innovation experts from all around the world, LIST is active in the fields of informatics, materials, environment and space and works across the entire innovation chain: fundamental/applied research, incubation and transfer of technologies.

Jordi Cabot - Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)

Jordi Cabot

Jordi Cabot is an FNR Pearl Chair and the head of the Software Engineering RDI Unit at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. He is also an Affiliate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Luxembourg. Previously, he has been a ICREA Research Professor at Internet Interdisciplinary Institute, a Visiting Professor at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, an Associate Professor at École des Mines de Nantes (France) on an Inria international chair, a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, a senior lecturer at UOC and a visiting scholar at the Politecnico di Milano. He received the BSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the Technical University of Catalonia.

Current research topics include software and systems modeling, pragmatic formal verification techniques, analysis of open source and open data communities and the role AI and natural language interfaces can play in software development (and vice versa). He has published over 200 articles in top conferences and journals in these areas. Apart from his scientific publications he writes and blogs about all these topics in several blogs such as the Modeling Languages portal . He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM.

Aaron Conrardy

Aaron is an engineer at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) with a master’s degree in computer science from RWTH University in Aachen. During his studies, Aaron worked part-time as a programmer and student research assistant on projects involving chatbots and technology integration in higher education. With a keen interest in Human-Computer Interactions (HCI), Learning Technologies, Gamification, Serious Games technologies, and Data Science, Aaron is now set to pursue a PhD focused on human-computer interfaces with a focus on bot-technology and the possible use-cases in different domains such as education.

Cindy Guerlain Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)

Cindy Guerlain

Cindy Guerlain is a senior engineer at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology within the IT for Innovative Services Department since 2009. She is also the Partnership Officer for Logistics Smart building. She holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Ecole Centrale de Lille with a specialisation in Transport Logistics. She holds a Master of Science in Project, Programme and Business Development from Skema Business School. She combines the academic activities with consultancy for private and public companies. She is deeply involved in European and national projects dealing with transport and logistics specially city logistics as logistics expert and project manager. She is multi-certified project manager with PMP®, Prince2® and HSTP® certifications.
