Urban Lab

Urban Lab is an Association founded by the City of Torino and Compagnia di San Paolo bank foundation in 2005 as a tool and place of discussion, research and knowledge exchange on the massive urban transformation underwent by Torino in the last decades.
Urban Lab tests new approaches in involving the local communities and providing narratives on the core policies implemented at local level. It designs and performs initiatives including workshops, conferences, research, mapping, exhibitions, promoting urban culture.

Giulietta Fassino, senior expert, is responsible for the cultural activities of Urban Lab. With a wide experience in history of architecture and urban planning, she is mainly dedicated to the communication of architecture and city change in publishing, teaching and by curating exhibitions.

Chiara Lucchini, senior expert, has a wide expertise in sustainable urban development processes, involving the local communities; in mapping and visualising data for public communication and in facilitating co-design processes involving different types of stakeholders.
